Replace the bottom frame.
How to install sliding screen door rollers.
Check if there is enough room to remove your door without adjusting the rollers.
Remove the screen door if you have one.
Insert the replacement sliding door rollers into the cavity along the bottom of the door.
If not please continue to step 1 figure 1.
When the wheels are in place reinstall the door.
Place the screen doors safely off to the side until you are ready to put them back.
Install the new wheel and spring the same way you removed the old one.
Grasp both sides of the frame and lift the door up off of its tracks.
If you can remove the door go to step 2 figure 2.
Install the new wheel screen door roller replacement.
Use the wooden block and rubber mallet to gently tap the frame back onto the door.
First lift the rollers off the track by sliding a flat head screwdriver or putty knife under the roller and pushing up.
The adjustment screw goes through a hole in the spring see photo 3.
When you open or close the door it doesn t actually slide.
Although there is more than one design for sliding patio screen doors the most common one employs a pair of rollers on the bottom of the door that fit on a track on the bottom of the frame.
Most screen doors use spring loaded rollers to keep the door from jumping off of the track.
