Is It Safe To Sit On My Roof

This is right outside of my bedroom window i ve literally just decided to do this now but just one thing i want to do this only at night when my parents have gone to bed so i can have it private to me it looks pretty safe because its only a few steps away from that bump as you can see.

Is it safe to sit on my roof.

My wife always said choose your battles. You can call law enforc. You are just asking for conflict. Youre not afraid anymore.

Then consider how steep it is when you step on the roof. I assume this is not a common situation for people so i don t even know where to start. The view is lovely by the way. My son is 28 and i am 56.

I never stand on my roof as i never touch it because i have never found anyone tall enough to see if its been cleaned on top. I grew up sitting out on my roof unbeknownst to my parents so i m sure that s where some of this desire comes from. I m assuming for the sake of this answer the hypothetical roof sitter is not doing anything else such as using illegal drugs drinking underage threatening suicide etc. Yea i think its safe but dont go at night cuz you sound like youre afraid.

I would save my arguments for something important. Some manufacturers recommend a roof is reinforced to put an air condition unit on the roof so standing on a roof would be heavier so might not be advisable especially if its under warranty. Just sitting on their own roof. So what can i do to make sitting out on the window part or even the roof peak a little safer. Get used to it go there whenever you like and later who knows. Or is there any reason why i can t i build a fire escape up to the roof using that for access instead of a patio type bederoom window.

Sitting on the roof is not dangerous at all. My house is a 3 storey and my rooms at the top its pretty high but im used to it. Getting on and of the ladder is probably the most dangerous part. Go into your attic to look at the roof decking from below to see if there are any problem areas where there might have been a leak which caused some rot.

I re roofed houses as a 16 year old. If it looks safe it will probably be okay to go out. People ask all the time if it s safe for them to walk on their rv roof to do maintenance or otherwise and the truth is there is no clearcut answer.
