How to install kickout flashing on existing roof.
Slip in the flashing.
Lift the bottom shingle and slip in the kickout flashing.
Stick top edge of transition strip membrane to fastflash.
Step 3 install the flashing.
Bead and tool fastflash to the top edge of transition strip.
Nail it to the sidewall or glue it if nailing isn t possible.
Run a small line of caulking down the end of the adjacent step flashing.
Step 2 flash the roof and roof wall connection.
If the kick out and step flashing can t tuck behind the siding screw on cap flashing to cover it then caulk along the top.
Place the back edge of the kick out flashing over the caulking and attach with a galvanized nail to the vertical wall.

Cover with cap flashing.
Finally reattach all shingles removed in the process.
Apply waterproofing membrane where the bottom of the roof meets the wall 1.
