On the back of the mirror measure the distance from the top edge of the d rings to the top edge of the frame. You can hang rings or wire from two hooks on the wall. You won t be hanging your mirror from the screw. On the back of the mirror you ll probably see d rings or a wire.

Take a long length of wire double it and then thread it through one of the screw eyes of the d ring and then down to the screw eye of the d ring on the other side of the frame. The d ring is necessary to guide the wire that will keep the mirror even and balanced as it is hanging. Install d rings on the back of the mirror. Without proper fastening you risk the object falling and breaking as well as damaging anything in its path.

Your mirror should already have something on the back that it can hang with either a wire or d rings. When transferring these measurements to the wall pay special attention to level the two mounting points. Mark 2 spots about 6 inches 15 24 cm from the top on either side of the center of the back of the mirror. D rings and picture wire the mirror must have a frame around it to hang a mirror this way.
