Plug pinholes with roofing cement and patch holes up to about 3 4 inch in diameter with a patch from the same material as the flashing.
How to fix roof flashing leak.
First roughen the area around the hole with a wire brush or sandpaper and then clean it.
Isolate areas when you run the hose.
Use a chisel to remove any hardened roofing cement.
Start low soaking the area just above where the leak appears in the house.
First snip the new flashing with your shearers then bend it to a 90 degree angle.
Pry up the edges of the flashing with a small prybar carefully so you do not damage the shingles or underlying sheathing.
Remove the roofing nails with the prybar as the flashing is being removed.
